The key issues
Micro-enterprise or company?
Beyond a certain level of activity or expenses, the micro regime may no longer suit. We look at the consequences with you, figures in hand.
The director’s pay
Salary, dividends or both: the right balance depends on your profit, your social protection and your plans.
VAT and foreign clients
Invoicing clients abroad follows specific VAT rules (reverse charge, place of supply): getting them right avoids costly corrections.
Expenses, vehicle and home office
What can be deducted, and how to document it: home office, travel, equipment, vehicle.

Frequently asked questions
I invoice clients abroad: do I charge VAT?
It depends on whether your client is a business or an individual and where they are established. For services to businesses established in another EU country, the client self-assesses the VAT (reverse charge) and you file a European services declaration; outside the EU, the rules of the client’s country apply. We check each case.
Can I deduct my home office?
Under conditions, part of your housing costs can be deducted or recharged. The rules differ between individual businesses and companies.
Should my company own a vehicle?
Not necessarily. Mileage allowances on a personal vehicle are often simpler and more favourable. We compare with you.
Is umbrella (portage) employment an alternative?
Yes, for some consultants, as a way to test an activity. It costs more than running your own structure once activity is regular.
How often does a consultant talk with their accountant in France?
As often as needed for your file, with a dedicated contact. Regular reviews can be organised on request.
Consultant or service company: does your accountant in France follow both your company and your pay?
Yes. The accounting and tax engagement covers annual accounts, the tax return and VAT returns, including for your clients abroad; the president’s payroll or the follow-up of the manager’s contributions are added à la carte. Pay simulations, taking into account the company’s profit and tax as well as your personal income, are offered on request and priced in advance. You spend your time on your clients, with confidence. In 2 minutes, your meeting is booked; in 5 more minutes, your fee estimate is shown. Get my free meeting and quote
Consultant or service company already working with an accountant in France: how do you join us?
It is simple: you send your termination letter to your previous firm (we give you an example to adapt), and we organise the handover of your file with them, in line with professional rules. Your paperless organisation (invoices centralised, bank synchronised) is set up from the handover. See the steps to change accountant
The forecasts, cash-flow plans, dashboards, simulations, studies and analyses mentioned above are additional engagements, à la carte. Each one is quoted in advance, at the frequency you choose.
