Our engagements

Statutory audit

For companies and groups above the legal thresholds, associations receiving grants or donations above the thresholds, and entities choosing a voluntary audit, for example at the request of investors or a group.

One-off legal engagements

Contribution, merger and transformation audits: engagements required by law for capital transactions and restructurings. See the dedicated pages below.

Sustainability

Assurance on sustainability information and on voluntary reports, by a statutory auditor registered for these engagements.

Contractual audit

Acquisition audits, limited reviews, agreed-upon procedures, specific certificates requested by a group, a bank or a partner.

Independence, a professional requirement

The statutory auditor carries out a public-interest engagement under strict independence rules. Consequently, we cannot be both the chartered accountant and the statutory auditor of the same entity. Before accepting any engagement, we check that there is no incompatible situation.

Statutory audit engagements are carried out by Nadir El Jouaidi, statutory auditor, member of the Paris regional institute of statutory auditors (CRCC), also registered for sustainability assurance.

Subsidiaries of foreign groups

We can act for French subsidiaries of international groups, for statutory or contractual audits requested by the parent company, with exchanges in English. See our support for subsidiaries

Contribution audit

Contributions in kind at incorporation or capital increase, including shares contributed to a holding.

Merger audit

Mergers, demergers and partial transfers of assets: exchange ratio and contributions.

Transformation audit

SARL to SAS and other changes of legal form: report on the value of the assets.

Frequently asked questions

Does my company need a statutory auditor?

It depends on thresholds (balance sheet total, turnover, headcount) and on the company’s situation, for example when it controls other companies or belongs to a group. Shareholders or third parties may also request an appointment. We review this with you.

For how long is the auditor appointed?

In principle for six financial years. A lighter, shorter engagement is provided for small companies in some situations.

Can my accountant also be my auditor?

No. The two engagements are incompatible for the same entity, to guarantee the auditor’s independence.

How much does an audit cost?

Fees depend on the entity’s size, the complexity of its operations and the quality of its accounting organisation. They are set in an engagement letter after an initial review.

Is the audit report available in English?

Statutory reports are issued in French, as French rules require. We can explain our work and conclusions in English to your shareholders and your group.
